Farm Camp at Crystal Spring 2012
We inspire kids to care for farms, the earth, good eating and good times.
Join us in our fourth summer of farm camp! Note a new camp week offered this year – yoga & farm camp!
We welcome children ages 4-15 to join us on our family-run organic farm. Campers will experience the connections between growing and eating healthy foods and taking care of our bodies and our land.
After a morning circle, we begin each day with animal chores, feeding and watering our lambs, pigs, and chickens. Over the course of the week we’ll partake in the full process of raising vegetables, herbs, and flowers from soil preparation, direct seeding and transplanting, to watering, weeding, harvesting, washing, and of course eating! Kids will get dirty in our vegetable fields exploring how a seed turns into a head of lettuce and how many ladybugs live amongst the plants and weeds. We will taste food as fresh as can be. Each day will include rest and relaxing with stories after lunch, and we’ll mix up the afternoons with various games, cooking with fresh produce, nature-inspired art, and creative explorations!
We offer two one-week sessions for preschoolers, mornings only; two sessions for 6-12 year old children from 9-3, and one yoga farm camp week for kids ages 8-12. See Dates & Rates Below
